My post was to imply that it has the appearance of a cover up. I never said it was a cover up, thats what an investigation is for. Oh, but they dont want that to happen, hmmmmm strange:huh: I find more humor in your post as you say mine is funny. Its funny to me, that you have called yourself undecided, but consistently come to the defense of McCain and Palin, at least you know where I stand. Time to come down of that fence, your ass has to be hurting by now:hihi:

It's the American press corps and if she can't handle them now, she's the last person we need a 71-year-old heartbeat away from the Presidency. I still can't believe you're promoting the Aged Maverick and the Bimbo.

Misrepresentation is what the media presence avoids. Palin's handlers wanted only cameras present so that they could show video and out their own spin on what was discussed. With a reporter present they had to tell the truth. And the reporters say that it was mostly "small talk".

I prefer to see both formats. I feel disappointed that our one chance to see Palin in a debate has been circumvented.

You should know, hippy. I'm upset and I'm a pachyderm.

I can't take your "ends justify means" arguments seriously.

I'm not running for VP and I don't claim to know everything, sorry if you've gotten that impression. I feel very let down that my one chance to see Palin debate has been bastardized.

Come on, man. I'll still watch, I'm just honestly disappointed. This really disturbs me and cancels any hopes of translucence connected to the McCain ticket for me. I'm not looking for any reason to trash Palin, I've actually found her intriguing, but she has quickly become a party-line mouthpiece, IMO.

At least we have something in common. :thumb:

Spells a cover up, appears to be a cover up, is a cover up. Whoopdi do. Suggesting a cover up because she hasn't talked to the media extensively is funny to me.
The correspondence in this issue is public knowledge and I don't remember hearing McCain or Palin saying they don't want it investigated. It obviously is proceeding slower than you want, and faster than they want. Still gonna happen.
I quoted you but referred to "you guys", as in plural, so the funny reference was not solely aimed at you.
You have also seen me defend Obama(or ignored it), when I thought he was being unfairly treated.

Well my ass is kind of big so I could probably stand it a bit longer.

I don't generally agree with liberal economics so I can't say I am an Obama lean, but as I have always maintained, I prefer to see the candidates together in debate(or whatever the call it now) before I make up my mind. I don't need to hear anymore about Rev Wright or how McCain can't use a keyboard because of his arms. That stuff is just white noise and gives me a headache.

As of right now, I only have their records. McCain has a significant one, and some of it I agree with. Obama has an insignificant one, and some of it I agree with. Biden has a significant one, and none of it I agree with. Palin is relatively unknown so I am just as anxious as everyone else to see her answers vs Biden. I am in favor of more drilling to bridge from our oil dependency to renewable energy. She knows a bit about drilling so I am inclined to at least listen to what she has to say.

As most serious voters do, I tend to rank my priorities in life. Once the candidates are pinned down and I know exactly where they stand, I decide on the person that best fits my priorities. If gay marriage or abortion rights were the only thing I cared about, maybe I would have made up my mind for Obama long ago. But national and economic security are more important to me. That should make me a McCain lean, but Obama has said things that make me think he is leaning more moderately on national security, and who knows what either guy will do with our current economy?

It may not be 50-50 for me, but I am still undecided.

Nice. I refer to Obama by his full name and I'm racist.

OK, in the future I will refer to her only by her own sobriquets. I cannot believe you support the beauty pageant pit bull hockey mom.

I'm wondering why she's being held to a higher standard than other vice presidential nominees. She doesn't need to be an expert on everything. Her role will be defined by J-Mac, and he's going to have her focus on energy issues and reform which are her strong suit.

It's also silly to be assuming J-Mac is a dead man walking. His mom is still alive, so he has good DNA. And a man his age is very likely to serve at least one full term and there's a good chance of him serving two. If he doesn't make it there will be a solid cabinet in place and Palin will have foreign policy experience from being veep.

I certainly don't support the 3rd most liberal Senator (behind Obama and Kennedy) who also happens to be the most liberal politician with hair plugs. Vanity is unbecoming of a person who is a bullet away* from being President.

In other words, she doesn't know what the hell she's talking about and the GOP can't deal with the backlash of her getting exposed for it. I guess the whole 'Bush Doctrine' thing really made them gun-shy. If ever there was a sign that someone wasn't prepared to do the job they're applying for...

I think that this will ultimately pan out to be a bad strategy for the GOP. Once she finally allows the media to approach her, they are really going to rail on her. They are a vindictive bunch, and I don't suspect they will take kindly to being snubbed.

She was picked as the VP candidate on sex/looks alone, as a highly politicized move to excite the GOP and the undecided voters. But this 'code of silence' will only inject significant doubt into the minds of the voters, and will eventually nullify the sugar rush.

How this is justifiable from any standpoint is beyond me, and voters should take extreme caution because of it.

I'd like to hear her talk and debate; I didn't think that was such a high standard.
