What made the Bulldogs legitimate SEC Champs last year was the fact that we beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Georgia and Ohio State would have been a good matchup. On artificial turf I think Georgia could have beat them. On grass it could have gone either way.
LSU is very good and so is Georgia. I have this point to make - does anyone who is a leg-humper fan really think that Richt will finish his carreer at GA with an undefeated road record? GA will lose a road game this year and it's gonna either be us or Tennessee. LSU is better than Tennessee this year - so a road loss to LSU wouldn't be such a poor way to end that streak. LSU will win this game 35-20. Sorry, slobberbones. You are not underrated - you're just the second best team in the SEC - which ain't that bad.
I wasn't complaining about it. Just an observation. If LSU was in a NC game and that call went against the Tigers, how many of you guys would not complain, yet alone keel over from heart failure? I had no favorite in that game one way or the other. Once again, just an obsevation as to why Miami ended up at #2.
You identified another intangible. The game is at your House! Home team and in front of a home crowd. A home field loss would be more difficult to stomach than a road loss. And another intangible is the fact that Arkansas doesn't have to play Georgia during the regular season. But LSU does play Florida. (I see Florida as the team we have beat to win the East) Most Georgia fans realize that with a new O-Line we were not picked to win the SEC again in the first place. It would not be a disaster to walk away with a loss. Overall, I would have to say that there is more pressure on LSU to win this game than on Georgia.
