Why not more interest in Chip Kelly?

In Chip Kelly? That dude would rock at LSU. He has been mentioned. But that is about it. Sure, he's coaching Philly at the moment. But everyone else is also tied up for now. Just seems like a good fit. That said, I like Herman also. Please no Jimbo. Why did the admin start barking up that tree anyway?

I just read that he is in the first year of a 4 year, $24M deal. Buyout would cost a fortune, unless he is fired.

Not too sure about that GDF. He may WANT to stay an NFL coach, but the NFL may not want him, especially if he fails in S.F. I know he doesn't have his players yet, but just like in Philly, his defense leads the league in time on the field. I just don't think his system will be consistent enough to work in the NFL. But it's perfect for college. Who knows, yall may end up getting him back in the next couple of years.
