  1. They do care what I think which is why they feel the need to constantly remind us all how great Texas is. The only thing that makes it worse is when they are also an Aggie.

  2. Yea. The congested highways always under construction, and the influx of illegals and liberals really makes it a special place.
  3. New Jersey, a Democrat stronghold for a very long time, is now in danger of going Red:

    Clinton 38
    Trump 34

Throw in Oregon in the mix (again a very liberal state):

    Trump 44
    Clinton 42

    Direction of Country:

    Right Direction 27
Wrong Direction 66 (very bad news for "let's keep this Obama train going" Hillary Clinton narrative)

  4. Its called economic growth. If Louisiana were better at it I would still live there. So would a lot of other people.
  5. Aggies are like a cheap tequila hangover; they make everything worse.
  6. I live in Texas as well. Jobs are the only thing they have going back for it. Louisiana is a much better place overall, but I will retire in Destin FL and stick my old ass on the beach one day admiring all the boobies walking around!!
  7. Houston has lost over 300k jobs. That market is depressed beyond belief and the flood didn't help things.

I'm sure our resident expert will be along to post a bunch of numbers generated by the current administration and tell me yet again that I don't know what I'm talking about.

    Freaking pencil jockeys
  8. I really like the way you think. Louisiana is a better state, Destin is the best beach, and boobies are the 2nd best view.

I prefer the hypnotic motion of a perfectly proportioned bikini clad butt (female only) slowly sauntering along the water's edge of the perfect white sands of Destin. IMO, boobies exist to say "hey over here, wait until you see us walking away from you".

  9. Yes, the gas downturn has hit the industry here. But to be honest, if it wasn't on the news you might not know it happened. If Baton Rouge or New Orleans lost 300k jobs this quickly it would be catastrophic. In Houston, if they want to work they get absorbed into some other industry. Growth slows, but does not stop. The beat goes on.
  10. LOL....yeah, I can't disagree with you here. I lived in Texas for 5 years when I got off of active duty and went to school at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, TX. My wife is from Texas and her family is still there so we go back every year for a week or so to visit and we still have some very dear friends who live there. It does have some cool spots like Austin and Deep Ellum, but all in all I'll take these mountains here in NC and summer high temps in the low to mid 80's over the swelter of Texas any day. I do miss the fishing though.
