Tiger in NC is ignoring the "we're going to put a lot of coal miners out of work" comment. The entire rust belt came into play on that statement alone. Coal mining isn't a big deal in every one of those states, but those are the same hard working blue collar people that were moved by that statement.

She is a terrible campaigner. She will lose.

Polls right now are pointless because Bernie is still a candidate. You might have some Bernie supporters swing to Trump, just like you will have some GOP supporters swing to Hillary. You are not going to see a large portion of Bernie supporters swing to trump however. The bulk of Bernie supporters are educated and policy driven, which isn't exactly the voter that Trump attracts. The best Trump can hope for is they vote for a Green Party candidate or abstain.

Polls are also pointless now because they count individual votes, not electoral votes. There are 222 electoral votes (CA, CT, DC, DE, HA, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, WI) that will be voting for Hillary no matter what she does or says. No Republican will ever swing them. I know some hold out hope that Christie will carry NJ for Trump it's a traditional Democrat voting state and trump has poisoned the water there with the Taj Mahal. Odds are pretty good that Pennsylvania is going to swing Blue as well, giving her 242. All Hillary has to do is appeal to voters in Florida and she's at 271.

You will continue to read articles about Trump having a chance. That's journalistic speculation because no one is going to buy papers, magazines or click links to a story that's no longer in doubt. make no mistake about it though, Trump will not be President.

Yes, they are educated but have you seen any of the random interviews with students on college campuses these days? For the most part they are totally ignorant of whatever they have learned or failed to learn about basic facts that most of learned in grade school. That doesn't mean they are stupid but rather an indictment of what the system of higher education has become. As far as being policy driven you are deluding yourself. They are driven by whoever promises them the most free stuff no matter who has to pay for it. That's why they love Bernie. Of course Hillary will promise them whatever she thinks will get their votes but I don't think many of them trust her to deliver.
They won't vote for Trump but I think a hell of a lot of them will either stay home or vote for some "green" candidate.

But you think the Latino's will not remember Trump saying they are murderers and rapists? You think women will not remember the mysoginistic remarks he's made?

Wishful thinking, which seems to be your MO. You like to make assertions but you are always short on details or stats to back up what you are saying. I just gave you a synopsis of where the race is today, do you have anything to refute that or is it just more of the same ole' Izzy-isms?

Like everyone else, including Nate silver, I have been terribly wrong about everything this political season.

But it now appears certain trump is your president.

He makes a point albeit long winded. It is demographics. 20% of the voters are libtards another 20 are religious right whackos. That leaves 60 in the middle . Of that 60 35 are center left soccer moms and wimpy husbands who vote Democrat because they feel guilty about not being black.
    Of the remaining 25
About 15 % watch Fox News 24/7 and have a bomb shelter in their backyard. That leaves 10% who only watch Reality Tv ,couldn't name their states capital and believe Kanye and Kim would look good in the White House.
Add it up the Dems have a core electorate of 55% plus that 10% who will also vote Dem if their favorite teen mom tells them too. Add the Democrats promise free stuff that even the working upper middle class are sniffing for and its no contest. Republicans will probably never be in WH again.

Trump never once said a legalized Mexican-American who is able to vote in this election was a murderer or rapist.
