I can't wait. In all seriousness, I thoroughly enjoy debate nights. At no other point in an election are voters afforded an opportunity to see the candidates face-to-face and under the lights. It is where the rubber meets the road in elections. So I share your enthusiasm for debate nights. As to her getting devoured, I couldn't disagree more. I am no fan of hers but she is smart and extremely well versed in policy and she will handle Trump just fine.

No disputing he has beat the odds in the Republican primary, anyone would be a fool to say otherwise. But the operative words here are in the Republican primary. Facing the general electorate is another thing and you know that as well as I. The demographics since 2012 have only tilted further in the Dems direction and primarily because the Republicans have failed to appeal to the latino community in any substantive way. Further, Trump has completely ruined any chance he might have had with reversing this trend by calling them rapists and murderers and vowing to build a wall and send them all home. Sure, the illegal ones cannot vote but all of the legal ones can, and they will.

Polls are not predictions, Winston. You should know this. You can go to real clear politics and fact check me if you like. It's all there in black and white. Like them or not they are a snapshot of the will of the electorate and right now, 6 months from the election this has the potential to be devastating to the Republican party. Anything can happen in 6 months, especially in politics. That said, even if your preferred worst case scenario/dream were to come true and by some celestial waving of a universally magic wand HRC were to be indicted and hauled off to jail and revealed to be secretly sporting male genetalia......your nominee would still be Donald Trump.

But he's losing in NC right now. Further this whole HB2 law in NC is blowing up in the governors face and he will likely lose to Roy Cooper this November because of it. HRC currently leads here by anywhere from 2-5 points. He's also losing to her in Utah by 2 points and in Arizona by 8 points. Any state with a heavy hispanic population will be a steep hill for Trump. This would apply in Florida also. Whomever you are reading is dreaming and smoking some better shit than I am getting lately.

 

I admit he has made it further in the Republican primaries than I thought he would. Hell, further than most anyone thought he would. That said, we are talking about the Republican primaries here. He must now face the rest of the nation and it looks nothing like the 40-50% of the Republican voters who have voted for Trump. As badly as HRC is disliked, he is disliked considerably worse. Anything can happen between now and then, but like I just told Winston.....the Republican nominee is still Donald Trump.

 

Yes, and you have provided absolutely no evidence whatsoever that might support this theory other than your own wishful thinking. You can make plenty of smart ass assertions but you sure can't find a poll that might dispute what I have said. And it's for good reason....because there are none.

So, again, let me make it clear to you: show me something....anything to support your theory that Trump is going to hold what Romney got and then how is he going to get to 270? Polls. You can find them all over the internet.
