No, they are won on election night but to deny the sheer volume of data that points to Trump getting trounced is foolish. Please tell me how he is going to win this thing and use some statistics to back it up this time.
Well NC I'm not in the prediction business but this is a odd year. This morning on Morning Joe they pointed out that just about every prediction by the pros about Trump's prospects INCLUDING 538 have been wrong wrong wrong. I wouldn't rely on predictions this far out. I will give you one path I read about in Reason I believe is for Trump to hold Romney's 2012 states plus add Phio, Florida and Pennsylvania. This is a conceivable path and I'm sure there are others. Personally my favorite is that HRC is indicted and the Rs sweep That would trash the hillbilly white trash better than anytyelse.
All I'm saying is no one thought he would get this far, yourself included. It is early and lots of time for him to gain steam, especially since he doesn't have any pressure. Here it is: If you take the electoral map from 2012 and assume Trump can hold onto what Romney won, then we're down to cases as to how Trump can get to 270: If he selects Kasich (which I think will happen and he will accept), then Ohio is very much in play and probably a Republican victory in November. Then you take the rest of the rust belt with Michigan Wisconsin and Pennsylvania coming into play, and let's say Trump can only take Michigan (his best chance of the 3). That gets Trump to 240. No doubt he will competitive in Florida (Rubio and Bush to help out in that regard and they will, trust me). That gets him to 269. Could he steal an Iowa or a New Hampshire? Perhaps. Either one of those gets him past 270. From that math, the one thing that can be said is that Trump MUST carry both Ohio and Florida just to have a chance.
