they should move the game around to share with all SEC fans. This will let fans that normaly cant make a SECCG make one. Atl has a good public transportation for visitors to the dome. LSU plays very well in the Dome.
Well, while it wasn't much of a concern for Georgia, Tennessee has been to the game three times, and all three times, THEY have also enjoyed an overwhelming home field advantage, due to the large Tennessee alumni presence in the Atlanta Metro area and the fact that Chattanooga is a one hour drive and Knoxville is a two hour drive from Atlanta. When I went in 2001, Vol fans outnumbered Tiger fans nearly 5 to 1. Hardly a neutral field. This is why we should follow the Big 12's lead and have rotating sites as soon as the Georgia Dome's current contract expires in 2009. True, favoritism situations still occur at times; in 1999, when it was in San Antonio, Texas fans outnumbered Nebraska fans excessively, and in 2000, Kansas State fans dominated the crowd in Kansas City. But rotating sites gives a better chance of a truly neutral site and the appearance of sharing and impartiality amongst all conference members and gives SEC fans in other Southern states a chance to see the event. We should rotate sites.
I don't know if anyone said this already, but what if the team with the best ranking or BCS standing could play at home for the SECC, that way it would move almost every year
I really liked jetstrom's idea. Not a real big fan of the game being in Miami, as that is not close to anyone but Florida, but the rest of the stadiums would be great. I'm all over it being here in Nashville! I don't think you ever have to worry about it being a home game for Vandy. They played Tennessee at the Coliseum last year, and it didn't sell out.
