Re: Moron Lsu's colors are purple and gold as the first time they ever wanted to put colors on the uniforms they went down to the farbic place and since it was close to Mardi gras they had plenty of purple and gold ribbon, the green had not arrive yet. The coach and the team trainer I think sewed the ribbon on the unies and the rest is history as they say. It had nothing to do with Toolame.
Sooner history lesson 101 for Sooner fan. The colors were designed by some old bag who was the only women on the faculty in 1895. No special reason for colors, like Mardi Gras or culture, just cause she thought they looked good. http://www.ncaahistoryguide.com/oklahoma/history.htm
Quite comical! I can sure smell fear when I visit here... especially from ramah! The colors are crimson and cream and the uniforms are among the most outstanding in all of college football. I know of no purple uniforms that crack the top 20! Why this is significant is beyond me...:dis: Boomer Sooner!!
If I'm not mistaken, purple is the color of royalty(another reference to Mardi Gras). A color fit for a King. Cream- I saw the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy cast using that in one of their shows recently. I'm sure they know something about cream.
It may be fit for royalty, bit it won't be fit for the crown! Seriously, Tigerlicks, good luck! I am sure it will be a great game! Boomer Sooner!!
