A simple solution to Louisiana taxes for businesses is to incorporate in another state that has no state income tax. You would still have to pay Louisiana income tax on your personal earnings but not for your business. Nevada is the easiest state to incorporate in. There are companies that will set it all up for you for a reasonable fee. Will even open a business banking account with a bank in Nevada and for a few dollars you can have a Nevada mailing address that will forward your mail anywhere you want. This one gives good service and is trustworthy http://www.nvinc.com/ If you don't want to be the CEO or president or any officer of the corporation in your own name you can get them to provide nominee officers. I got a ticket for doing 77 in a 75 (or something like that)in Elk Point South Dakota in 2006. Never paid it. Never will. When we drove through South Dakota last year my wife did all the driving, and put the hotel in her name. She was afraid I'd have a warrant for me.
With all of the license plate scanners in use today, I would not want my plate numbers to be seen by anybody if I had a bench warrant on file. It is easier and easier for police to find you with surveillance and computers.
I just saw this. You are not the only one who got a letter telling you that you owed money that you don't Drivers with OMV insurance lapse notices complain of dropped phone calls and long holds, http://theadvocate.com/news/13763417-123/drivers-with-omv-insurance-lapse
Yea I have several forms of proof. Little whore on the phone said I still owe the fine because they mailed a letter in 2012 to my old address. The letter on says; "for your Ford". No other identification. Like. What the hell. And as an FYI I told her I was in the military from 2006-2012 and didn't live in Louisiana. It was my parents address. It took me 4 days to talk to someone. I even called the Texas DMV and they proved it was registered in Texas at the time.
