Darth Visor is gone. Florida intimidated a lot of teams when Spurrier was there, because he was always coming up with the big play at the right time. Nobody is intimidated anymore. Florida has a lot of impressive talent, but Zook doesn't impress anyone . . yet.
You're right too, Florida doesn't scare me nearly as much without Spurrier. I never thought I would say this but I actually miss the guy. He was a part of the SEC and it's not the same without him.
I anticipate this being our third most difficult game. They have similar talent but their coaching is not as good. When they look at us, they judge us only on how players have performed in games. We know about the young talent that hasn't had an opportunity to show itself in games. When I look at other teams, I can only do the same superficial analysis that this guy does to us. I am not worried about LBs or Ss; I am worried about QB. Mauck has to prove he can be the QB we need. I think all of our QB talent are freshmen.
Tigers feel right at home in the swamp these days. <img src=http://jimmygranier.com/tiger4.jpg> <img src=http://jimmygranier.com/tiger5.jpg> <img src=http://jimmygranier.com/gator669.jpg>
One reason to be afraid of addai, the touchdown run against kentucky. Any time a guy can make plays like that you have to respect him as a threat. Don't respect his ability and you could get torched.
I can understand someone questioning LSU's depth at running back. The new guys haven't been seen yet. I have some questions myself. It's harder to understand anybodys questioning of Addai's capabilities. He gained over 500 yards last year despite limited playing time behind Toefield and Davis. I doubt if he's seriously questioned by the DC's around the league.
Addai's yards per carry was better than any back we had last year. You cann't realy expect fans from other schools to know these running backs of ours at this time. They will know them soon enough.
