I didn't draw a distinction because I never made that argument or implied that there was no distinction. The right and the action are 2 very different things. I think everyone should have the right to fly whatever flag they want. Just as I was opposed to the US banning American flag burning when that was an issue. And what I called ignorant were the posts that argued that slavery had nothing to do with the Civil War, the posts that said the Confederate flag didn't represent or insinuate slavery and racism and the posts that said black people shouldn't be offended by the flag. And of course your remark that: So black people are only offended because they are insecure in their abilities and talents? That's ridiculous. Black people are offended because that flag represents a time when their ancestors were owned as property and mistreated like animals.
and all this time i thought the rainbow=skittles. says it all for me. we've discussed this before and the above is the answer. we just need a way to implement brains.
But why do they care what some morons are doing (like waving a damned rebel flag)? That's my point. The only reason anyone could possibly care what some lower life form is doing is if you're insecure in your own self. Like your example of Jews and Swastikas, their first reaction may very well be (and IMO, SHOULD be), "Hey, look at those idiots. How sad." Not, "Oh wow, I'm so offended."
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I'm totally convinced that would be your reaction if you were a Jew in that situation. Get real.
Now you've got it. If only lesser people could be as confident as I am, nobody would care about the rebel flags or swastikas or black power signs or anything else.
You have got to be kidding me right. That is the worse part about my job. I have to defend stupid mother****ers like you.
