It just pisses me off to see that people nowadays have forgot what my grandpaw and his brother fought to preserve. Have fogotten the reasons that all of us on here that have served or are serving defend everysingle day we wake up and put on our uniform.

The fact that bubba can get on a site like this and say the things he is saying without being drug from his computer and shot in the street, is the very thing he wants to give up because someone is offended by something.

We as Americans take for granted every single ****ing day of our lives the things we can to EXPECT from our rights and freedoms.

Those rights and freedoms are not OWED to ANYONE. Those rights and freedoms were EARNED THROUGHT THE BLOODSHED OF YEARS PAST!

We need to get away from this lifesytle of I want what is OWED to me and I am gonna bitch and complain about it until I get it.

People need to get over themselves, they need to drop the bleeding heart bull****, AND UNTIL EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM IS READY AND WILLING TO PICK UP A WEAPON AND ****ING DEFEND THE VERY RIGHTS THEY WANT TO BITCH ABOUT I HAVE NO USE FOR THEM!

 

There was a lot less history when I was in grade school. Everything after 1960? Never happened. :hihi:

If you really believe that the civil war was fought over slavery, then I guess you also believe that George Bush has the finger of God in his pocket and uses it to pick his nose and control hurricanes.

I can't believe that you really think that the war had anything to do with slavery. Then again, that's about as stupid as thinking the flag has anything to do with racism.

Why do you always laugh when people tell you take history courses? Do you have a degree in history? I think they really might be beneficial to you. You know that the bible doesn't cover events from "recent" history, right? :hihi:

I think the extent of which the Civil War was based on slavery is debatable, mostly because for different people the war meant different things. I don't believe it is at all debatable that slavery was a very big issue & definitely did have something to do with the Civil War.

The rebel flag does have something to do with racism - even if you want to deny that it did during the Civil War. The KKK adopted it as it's flag & used it to associate itself with racism. Whether this was it's original intention or not isn't the point, the point is what it has become associated with.
