Then these guys are pushing their chests out for nothing because no one here, 'cept martin, has condoned the act of burning the flag - just the constitutional right to.

Sounds like he's saying I don't have the right to burn the flag to me...

 

Joe, don't be so convinced of your own intelligence. Neither Bubba nor I suggested banning the Rebel Flag, much less forcing people to do anything. The story ended a long time ago.

 

Sounds like he is giving his opinion to me. The same thing that everyone on this board does on a regular basis.

You gave yours (which I respect), he gave his (which I respect), and I gave mine (which I will stand by until someone convinces me otherwise)

 

And his opinion sounded like I didn't have the right to burn the flag, which contradicts your earlier statements - just to point that out.

Your opinions are the same as bubba & I's. Flag burning = wrong, but constitutional. It's these other two knuckleheads that might disagree with that, but I'm not entirely sure yet.

 

If you have the balls to burn an American flag in front of me, stand the f*** by, because it'll get ugly real fast. Everything else I was going to say has been said by many others, so I'm not going to beat a dead horse.

The story just got started for me. I just read this post today. The Tiger's Den was a little boring today, so I decided to venture into uncharted waters for me. With a title like "Free Speech Alley", I thought that my posting here wouldn't be a problem.

Joe, you were condescending to bubbafong in your post ("this might get confusing") - I jokingly stated that you shouldn't be so convinced of your own intelligence.

You didn't cause me any discomfort. But you seemed to take the side of Salty/Crip, when in fact your sentiments more closely resemble bubba & I's - I was just pointing that out.

Don't take it personal. I wasn't attacking you. Things get heated around here. We talk about touchy subjects - that's why it's in Free Speech Alley. After everything is said & done with the topic at hand we all go back to having respect for each other.
