everyone in Washington is a professional politician. There is no republican and democrat they are all the same party, just some lean more left and some lean more right. they all suck equally.

Sometimes I wonder about you. Nobody cares about the person it's the policies and laws that are made and followed that count..

this is the routine, i have seen it a thousand times:

person 1: obama is terrible, he is a big spender

person 2: yeah, well so was bush.

pperson 1: yeah, i wish bush hadnt spent to much either. at least we agree that obama is a miserable ****ing prick

person 2: i will not agree, i am obsessed with rooting out "hypocrisy" and playing political games or some ****. i will never say obama is bad, just bush, even thought the things i am critical of bush for are even worse under obama.

anyways, for the sake of argument, lets assume everybody here was not a fan of bush's big spending. can we move forward now?

anyways, as far as i can tell, even stalwart conservatives like sourdough and sabanfan are opposed to big bush spending policies, and are therefore not hypocrites, as if mattered a goddamn bit if they were. the issue is policy, not yelling at the opposition or catching them in some inconsistency.

what we need to do as a nation is simply recognize big spending for the destructive force that it is. we need to understand that we can worry about all manner of nonsense, but really matters in the end is economic progress. people with good jobs dont need to care about global warming, they only think they do because they have so few worries. and people without good jobs have ACTUAL concerns. and that is why low taxes matter more than anything.

Obama is bad. Bush is bad. Most of the Congress is Bad.

They ALL do the same f'in thing year after year but people support these groups. It's an f'in shame.

I'm just tired of people calling out Obama like what he is doing something that hasn't been done before. It gets old so I bring up the same old argument as well.

I understand what you're saying and agree with much of it. The problem for this administration started prior to the election. In an attempt to persuade the American public to vote for Obama, we were told this guy was not just the better candidate...not just a different voice...not just a symbol of change...not just an opportunity to elect a minority...etc, etc........we were told this guy was THE candidate of candidates...THE greatest thing since sliced bread...THE best president ever (even before being elected)...THE answer...etc.

You have to be careful when you make campaign promises you can't keep or a reputation you can't live up to. Don't sell your candidate as the greatest then tell people their expectations are unreasonable. If you're going to blame the previous administration and tell the voters you can fix the problems...then fix the problems. Instead we've seen additional problems created and also blamed those on the previous administration.

When you have complete control and a super majority and you can't accomplish anything, then it's YOUR fault. I guess they think the American public is dumb enough to believe the minority is causing the problems.

I agree that Obama is not the only bad president we've ever had...but he is the current one...and he was touted as being a great one before even being sworn in. His party made him a legend before he ever stepped into the White House. His arrogance has not helped either. He's in serious jeopardy of becoming a one-term president and ahead of pace to become the next Jimmy Carter. He needs to change course quickly.

Clinton (or his staffers) saw the writing on the wall and effectively changed before proceeding down the wrong (liberal) path. Obama needs to swallow his pride, tell Nancy and Harry to step aside, and start heading back to the middle very quickly.

I wasn't happy with everything Bush did and I'm pretty sure John McCain wouldn't have thrilled me either but I don't recall either being touted as the almighty.

So the "sins" (for lack of a better word) of Obama are worse because he came in with much greater expectations? I'll buy that. Go to the Saints board and you'll find similar attitudes being expressed about the career of Reggie Bush. :thumb:

people could just ignore the post. see, now we have 10 posts talking about one post that was a reply to the thread starter.

    "Liberals tax, borrow and spend"
taxes increased? i missed the memo.

    "Liberals won't protect America"
anyone hear any bombs go off? what did i miss? are we talking about wackjob psycho fort hood dude?

"Liberals want to take over economy" -
please be less vague. what bank bailouts?--not O. Detroit bailouts?--hardly taking over the economy

healthcare reform? no single payer system, or option for it (except for the Medicare/aid that has existed for 50 yrs).

Liberals think they know what is best for everyone -

    meaningless platitude

Liberals aren't happy till they are running your life -

    meaningless platitude.

they are all crooks, but i seriously don't understand how some can say Obama is worst president ever. You guys had that en-grained in your craw before he ever took office. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck have obviously done their jobs. I would like to know, how Obama has screwed you personally.

He hasn't screwed me yet. Fortunately he's all talk and totally ineffective at enacting the "change" he promised. If he rams through this debacle of a healthcare bill, then gets his crap and trade through he will not only screw me, but the next 2 or 3 generations of my family.
