Can't remember right off, I just remember defending it on a USC board. Not to mention we won the facking game so apparently it was the other team that didn't belong there.
Gerry had good recruiting classes, but an above average amount were either ineligible or couldn't stay eligible. He took far too many recruiting risks and it showed. By the time he left the number of scholarship players was unusually low.
It was a fluke year, not lucky. Every BCS conference champion, except Ohio State finished with two losses.
