    Do you mean Turd er-see?

You have to throw out the Tennessee loss. LSU is clearly superior and many different things conspired to lose that game for us.

Since Prothro's injury, your offensive production against 2 SEC teams is 19 points. Your defense has given up only 13, but both games were against opponents who had been playing poorly on offense. The margin of victory vs. Florida means nothing. The turnovers and penalties kept a blowout from occurring. LSU was clearly much better in all phases than Florida. (Admittedly, those same mistakes would kill us against the Tide). All in all, LSU has an offensive and special teams advantage over Bama. Defensively it's a wash, but the home field will work in your favor. The only way Bama wins is to jump out to an early lead to keep the crowd in the game and to force turnovers. If that doesn't happen, you have no chance. Of course, this is only my opinion.

Croyle's bama contract state's "You have to be hit once before you break like an eggshell". We just have to hit him before he comes up lame.

    Throw it out then!!!
Get in touch with the BCS guru's, you guys are undefeated since the terdersee loss doesn't count.

BTW, if the other team doesn't score, then you don't have to put 30 points on the board to win.

I forget you have to explain everything to you guys.

I meant throw it out in the context of LSU-Bama predictions.

I think your earlier post summed up this game fairly well in regards to what killed LSU in past games. I'll definitely agree that this season you've had great punt return production and that's one of the reasons I gave LSU the nod in an earlier thread about this upcoming game, RE: special teams. At the same time, that advantage could easily be a wash with the amount of penalties LSU has been averaging per game.

I firmly believe it is the small things (that are often overlooked) that will define this contest. As example, if the crowd noise in this game is any where close to what it was against UF you can assume that penalities will kill several drives.

Interestingly enough, one of the problems LSU has had is the same problem Bama has experienced over the last few games: dropped passes when the receivers have been open. This very well may come down to who can catch the ball.

I've seen Prothro mentioned often here the last few weeks. While his contributions have been missed, other players are picking up the slack. We've seen in coming to fruition in the passing game the last two weeks and saw the beginning of it last week in the punt return game. Losing a player like that makes a staff adjust and sometimes those adjustments don't happen overnight.

So, breaking this down once again I have to give the edge to LSU in the DL, OL and special teams. The advantage Bama has is also in 3 areas...QB, LB's and DB's. As to RB's and WR it's a push. Based on our series calling the home field an advantage doesn't really apply. LSU has had success in BDS much like Bama has had success in Death Valley. The only difference this year is the Alabama fan base is starting to believe we are emerging from the nightmare we've dealt with the last few years...and we know what effect an energized fan base can have on the outcome of a game, don't we?

It's too early for score predictions (as far as I'm concerned)...other than total points under 35 with the winning team @ 17.

Penalties are LSU's biggest problem right now. Even vs. North Texas, the number of penalties was excessive. The dropped passes did not cost us any games. Neither did the fumbles.

I wasn't insinuating the dropped passes and fumbles cost you a game this year. I do believe you would have won a few games by a larger margin than you did if you didn't have as many drops. The same, can be said for this side of the contest also.

I believe that Bama will lose because it used up all its Karma this year by the spirit of the bear making that Tenn. boy fumble.

The spirit of Charlie Mac will help us get redemption on you Bama boys.

The Bear will be too busy trying to evade the Spirit of Mike The Tiger III that used to growl at him.

I think it goes without saying that nothing cost Bama any games this year.
