Granted newbs need time to learn boundaries, they also need to be broke in right and tested to see if they're "board material." His post begged for it. He even acknoweledges it as abrasive. Before opening it I figured he was a troll so I'm going to stand with vesperiaLSU and say phuck him. After getting that out of the way, then I'd like to say welcome.
LSU fans aren't all babies but a good many of the people that frequent these boards are pretty passionate. Some are pretty informed. Some are considered whiners if they don't agree with the majority. Some are just whiners. It has been an interesting last few years but I'm very glad that we have a new group coming in and a loaded team for next season but my optimism for next year can mainly be summed up in word...Mettenberger.
Tiger fans, as a lot, are passionate. We love our Tigers and because we are so passionate there are bound to be disagreements on how the team could be better. Granted, some critics are more constructive than others. I think expressing your opinion respectfully is the intent of the forum. That said, if you express your opinion then you should be prepared to defend your position because someone is going to disagree and you should be able to do so without cursing or slamming someone's character.
The fact is, negative topics generate more conversation. Its natural. How much is there to say when LSU beats Ole Miss 52-3. Yes, we all agree it was an azz whipping. There's much more to discuss when things go wrong. Does this really have to be explained?
Yeah, its not prison. You don't have to come in acting all hard and shyt. Just here to kick around a few topics with everyone. No more, no less.
