Gotta Disagree SOuthlink. I have been to USC several times. I really love that City... I almost moved there (had a job offer) At least thats my opinion.
I don't know where I'm going to tailgate....I will be looking for other LSU fans to tailgate with..I know nothing about the tailgating at USC..where will everyone be??
Yes, a pep band is going to the game. There will be only 50 of us, but we'll still overpower the cocks' band. We will probably hold a pep rally outside the stadium before we go in (we try to do this at all away games), but I don't know what time it would take place. As to where we are sitting, I don't know. We should be next to the LSU fans (not in the nosebleed section). We don't want another incident like what happened at MSU.
Good question. Where will everyone be? Usually when we go on a road trip and don't know where our fellow Tiger fans will be, we go extra early and ride around campus until we find them.
I tried looking at the campus map on the SC web site but it doesn't show visitor RV parking or any gameday parking at all for that matter.:dis: I didn't even see any info on gameday parking period. Did anybody else check this out and see something I'm missing?
Wife and I are going.... The stadium is not located on the USC campus. Don't know what that does to tailgating, but we'll all find out on Saturday. Heard of a Friday gathering at a place called Crocodile Rocks Dueling Pianos or something like that - supposed to be something like Pat O's but more casual and rowdy. We'll see as well....
Hello LSU fans! For those of you coming to Columbia, Welcome and enjoy yourselves! As far as tailgating - The stadium is not on campus. It is about a mile south of campus near the state fairgrounds and farmers market. There are plenty of places to tailgate. You all will need to get together and decide where to meet and try and drive over together. Get there early!!!!! Most of us Gamecocks start tailgating 5 or 6 hours before gametime. Unless you have a reserved area, most of the parking is first-come - first-serve! The RV area is just to the north of the stadium across the street from the state fair grounds. This is privately owned and operated so there will be no information on the USC web site. Entertainment - two areas of Columbia stand out! 5-points is a couple of blocks East of the campus. This is mostly college bars. Younger crowd and fine women. The Vista is a couple of blocks West and is a bit more upscale and mature then 5-points. The Vista is where Croc Rocks is. That is a dueling piano bar that is loads of fun. Looking forward to hosting ya'll this year! Good luck and travel safe!
