don't you love that we are having these types of discussions..... "Which one of our fastest guys on the planet, is faster?" :lsug: :lsug:
Sweet, isn't it. Since XC has more power, he may be able to beat Bennie in the 400. I don't know that he can get him in the 100 and 200 because of Bennie's acceleration. But that is for Pat Henry to work on. Our coaches will be working on the fundamentals of WR play. And for Bennie, trying to sneak that old stick-em onto his gloves.
Think some of you are not understanding just how fast this XC kid is. Consider that his outdoor 100 time at the Arcadia Invitational was faster than the fastest time posted last year by any of LSU's runners. Paul Thompson posted a 10.67. X-Man ran a 10.38. For further reference, consider the following times at the Arcadia from Carter: 100 meter: 10.38 200 meter: 20. 85 (into a wind) 400 meter: 46.72 Compare to LSU's best outdoor times for 2003 . Update: Carter actually ran a 20.69 in the 200 somewhere. Not sure where but listed as his, and the nation's, best time in prep track. Ditto the 400 where he ran a 45.88 at some event. Here's one source.
if both Carter and Brazell are on the field at once, i suggest the opposing safetys play 30 yards off the line
Do we have any math whizzes who can convert 100 meter times into 40 yard times. I've always wondered cuz I wanted to know how fast Maurice Green and Micheal Johnson ran the 40.
I can't see Brazell being faster than Carter on the track. I mean 10.38 in the 100 meters is out of this world.
translations into 40 times 100 meter: 10.38 -- 4.15 200 meter: 20.85 -- 4.17 400 meter: 46.72 -- 4.67
Some would say you don't have to defend Brazell at all ... hands of stone! LOL If he ever learns to catch, watch out!
