Where are you getting this from? Baton Rouge is the second-largest in the state (although it may be the largest post-Katrina). What in the world would make you think that the majority come from other cities? This is a college town. The percentage of people that live here and support LSU is way higher than in NOLA. There is NO city or area in the state with as much support for LSU than the city that LSU is in!!! Please quit making stuff up and just admit that you were grossly mistaken.
remember that 42% of all statistics are made up. somebody obviously made up those stats about laf and ULL. BR is easily the biggest tiger fan base, one way to measure is to look at the lsu stores in the area.
They were in the past, but seem more interested in which Mississippi team wins the Egg Bowl these days. Until they put out at least a mildly competetive Football team the rivalry will remain dormant. Arkansas fans are still obsessed with Texas & the old SWC schools. Note the thing on Woopig...14 years after joining the SEC.
