Saw it at Hooters for free. Wasnt a good fight at all, total beatdown. Penn needs to stay at the lower weight class. GSP was too big and too strong for him.
I am not sure i would bother to get it OT. It was a very slow fight, lots of clenching in the the first round. DRC got it about right.
GSP absolutely DOMINATED BJ Penn last night. It wasn't even close. GSP beat his a$$ so bad, that he didn't even come out after the 4th round. GSP by TKO. GSP is (along with Anderson Silva) the best pound for pound fighter in the world. And yes, OT, I would get the fight if I were you. I actually like the clinching and the jiu jitsu chess matches that occur on the ground. I like standup just like everyone else, but watching 2 great fighters try to submit and escape is awesome.
I was in Houston in April 2007 when Serra beat GSP's ass. That's all I am going to say -- b/c everyone else here is right, GSP damn near murdered a man yest.
I like the clinch game and great ground game fights, this one was just utter domination and i got a bit bored with it i guess. Penn could do nothing but hold GSP tight and once he got tired it was all over. GSP just needed to sit on Penn and it wore Penn out.
Someone in my office told me that BJ Penn and his camp filed a complaint to the UFC on GSP b/c they alleged that GSP used vasaline on his shoulders and back in order to give him an advantage. I haven't found a link or anything but thought it was worth mentioning.

I agree that GSP was the better man and kicked the crap out of Penn, but this is flat out cheating. Completely explains why Penn's legs were sliding so easily off of GSP's shoulders. GSP should be stripped of the win and forfeits all the proceeds.
if vaseline is such an issue (which it is) they shouldnt allow it on their faces because once they sweat and start grappling it gets everywhere. But this wouldnt have changed the outcome of this fight. it was wiped off in the 2nd round once the commission saw it. some weird looking corner guy applied it. penn always makes excuses. im not sure why they filed a complaint to the commission when the commission was the once to see it and have it removed. it may have been pineapple juice leaking out of penns body from all the abuse he was taking. his ear looked like a ravioli taped to a cabbage patch doll. bj's fat ass was out of shape as expected yet talked at that shiit and even ended up flat-out quitting. embarrassing. after he gets his rematch its back down to 155 where he has a chance. also embarrassing is gsp is now going to been seen as a cheater and something he cannot change. a rematch wont likely end well for bj. in fact, it will likely end worse. he has no heart and quit. he certainly wont put in the work knowing hes going to get dominated, which he will. hadnt seen an hawaiian take a beating that bad since pearl harbor.
