UF is a team that capitalizes on turnovers and Auburn does not turn the ball over very often, and rarely in the redzone where UF has feasted this season. Auburn has the talent and coaching to beat UF, but they are a battered and injured team, dating all the way back to the LSU game. Cox has been nowhere near 100% since that game, and his injury has dramatically limited Borge's playcalling and directly determined the amount of time the AU Defense is spending on the field. Starting center Joe Cope and TE Cole Bennett, two of AU most experienced players on offense, have been out for the season and are now backfilled by redshirt freshmen. Kenny Irons has had nagging injuries dating back to the MSU game aand has been marginally effective since. It's unfortunate that two of the best teams in the conference left such a lasting impact on each other so early in the season. But, injuries are part of the game and must be managed effectively throughout the season. It's one of the reasons the SEC is the toughest conference to play in week-in-week-out. I wouldn't bet this game even if I was betting someone else's money. On paper, UF deserves to be favored and has Wynn returning. But it's wise to remember that the Gators have frequently been favored when traveling to Jordan-Hare and have often faced a disappointing trip back to Gainesville, especially when highly ranked.
If I am not mistaken, I thought the JR Fumble on the goalline was FLA's first Red Zone Turnover/Recovery of the season..... :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
sorry, to clarify, I meant that AU does not frequently turn it over, and even less so inside the redzone. My comment about UF was intended to highlight UF's penchant for getting turnovers and to reference their success inside the redzone this season.
I will actually be at the game in my LSU colors pulling for Florida!!!:hihi: Going with an AU friend and a UF friend.....but don't worry I'll be sporting the purple and gold!!! LSU! Florida - 20 AU - 13
well, im a die hard Auburn fan and if I judge this weeks game w/UF by looking at our game last week, I think we will loose by 3 td's at least...Im not a fair weather fan by any means, just stating the facts.
Florida won fair and square (and, yes, I know we also beat ourselves), other than a bad call or two. Auburn won because of the refs. I'm pulling for Florida... UF 24 AU 10
