So . . . we have 14 seniors, 11 who have lettered. Seven have 3 varsity letters and must be the front-runners. One of those is a lineman, but I believe they can wear 18 as long as the referees are notified that they are not eligible receivers. Jalen Mills seems likely, but his recent arrest may shut that down. I suppose Les could give the number to a junior who is not likely returning, like Dural, but I hope not. It should be a senior honor.
id like a white guy but we have a long snapper and a punter as the prospects? hell naw. and a couple of the remaining ones arent even starters are they. i dont know who gets it but id go with none of the above.
I voted for Jalen Mills. My next pick would be Vadal Alexander. I appreciate guys that stay for their senior seasons.
Well, if we're talking about a guy who goes all out and works hard for his team it doesn't have to be a starter. Richard Murphy wasn't...neither was Magee last year. I voted for Debo.
i think mills is a lock. id give it to lacouture but he'll likely be back next year and can wear it then.
One thing for the D line. There have been many including Ego Ferguson and several playing for Florida. O line is different as there is eligibility to receive that must be accounted for. I could see notice before games/plays that #18 is not eligible, but what if he comes uncovered like he would in a tackle eligible? Too confusing and open for misuse.
I was wondering about that. Too much trouble to notify the officials regarding his eligibility as a receiver on every play.
