He has great vision, and this pause burst when he hits the hole. It looks like he is playing against high schoolers when I watched him against Arkansas. Dude is great, our entire defense should be built to take away his run. Simple fact is he is going to get points, our Offense needs to come up big here to help our D out. Which means don't spot them 14-21 points like Arkansas did.
I think we should mix it up on the spy, But our defense has to play the best game yet, a game that every analyst and other team in the counrty can finally say, LSU has the toughest defense in the nation "hands down"
He'll be the main stopper, but he won't be dogging Newton on every play. Too predictable and they'll use it to take him out of a play. Chavis will keep them guessing and give them a lot of looks.
92 and company will get theirs without any special scheming. But if there is a designed spy, it'll be 11. He didn't ask "How would YOU spy him". He asked who will be the spy. 11 will be THE spy...but yes, he will have others on him.
Mingo on one side and Baker on the other. We line up in a 3-4.... Nevis will come up the middle forcing him outside to Mingo/Baker. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Whoever isn't blitzing or jamming a WR. This shouldn't really be a complicated game plan. Stack the line, man up on the WRs, leave a safety up top and have another safety in the box. I think Sheppard and Brandon Taylor will end up spying the QB most often, but we're gonna need 11 spies out there to win.
disagree, if you man up the corners backs will have their backs to the line of scrimmage and cam newton will be able to beat you will his legs on the edge. Now i agree that we have the talent to play man to man and shut down the passing game, but that isn't where Newton is going to beat us.
