No. Michigan will be ranked this year.

I agree with Red. Don't let the I AA label cloud your thinking. Appy State would give a good numer of IA teams a battle. Michigan had the misfortune of playing them early with a defense that isn't ready yet. Their offense is good enough to hang with the plodders in the Big 10 and the defense has athletes in need of coaching. Let me put it this way. I'd rather play Va Tech this week than Michigan.

I still think Michigan is very overrated, always have. This is gonna be more similar to a couple of years ago when they went 7-5. Maybe not that many losses but a down season overall. Oregon is good enough to beat them and they will. I thought so before the loss and I still do.

Appalachian State would be middle of the pack in the big 10 now because they have proven to always play tough against top opponents. They have been consistently beating the likes of wake forest the past few years just like the big boys.

UM will bounce back. Still think they will end up behind Wisconsin and Ohio State in the BIG 11.

Michigan will crash and burn this week when a faster (but not better) oregon offense comes to the big house. It'll be close till one of the ORG WR breaks one for six late in the forth to go up 14. At that point, Michigan suicide rate will skyrocket, and the torches and pitchforks will head for Carr's office. If they lose by more than 21, expect Carr to be fired before he leaves the locker room.

ND will play a good Penn State team and get crushed. Clausen will break his arm in the 1st and their season will follow. ND will be LUCKY to be bowl eligible.

FSU showed promise at the end last night. Expect Jimbo's offence to settle in aginst UAB.

I calls it like i sees it.

Opinions are like.....well everybody has one. So mine is that Notre Dame is the worst of the lot & won't rebound. May be a .500 team this year if it weren’t for their cupcake schedule (filled with Pac 10, Big 11, & service academy teams :yelwink2:)

Florida State played a very good Clemson team & almost came back & beat them.

I'm sorry Red, but I don't agree about Michigan being a top team. (Actually the homer northern voters may make a play to vote them in). Appalachian St. is just OK. Remember in 2005 we beat them 24-0. No excuses for Michigan. I'm thinking that Penn St. may be good this year in the Big 11.

I am not one who usually says anything good about ND but their schedule is pretty brutal this year, especially the 1st 7-8 games of the year. That doesnt change the fact that they still suck by any means.

Michigan will do well this year. They run with the pack leaders every year.

Florida State will be middle of the pack. FS fans will be happy to beat Miami in October, but will cry when they lose to Florida on Thanksgiving weekend.

Notre Dame will do what they have always done....be overrated and underachieving. The PennSt, Michigan, MichSt. UCLA and USC schedule is going to kill them. I'm happy to see them sit up and make their statement early so we can the sports writers will stop bowing to them after just one game.

I am very happy that it was the Wolverines and not the Tigers who faced those mountain men on the 1st games of the season, when anything goes.
