Favre made Curley look like a good coach. If it hadn't been for Favre Curley would have never been considered for the LSU job.
And, Curley made Jamie Howard look like a bad QB. He couldn't just leave him alone in that Auburn game, could he?

That was right on about Curley. Everyone thought he was looking good beating teams like Alabama that year because none of us knew anything about that Favre kid. And as hard as Curley was on Jamie Howard during the '94 Auburn game, he was ten times as hard on him AFTER it--when he blamed the loss on Howard, instead of boneheaded play calling that didn't allow our defense on the field at all in the 4th quarter of that debacle. As much as anything else, he lost his job over that...thank goodness.
