He was the best foreign policy president of his era, no doubt about it. But he failed miserably on the other important issues.
Well, that ain't what I call "presidential." That's what I call "charismatic." Presidential qualities to me are intelligence, prudence, depth of knowledge, experience in foreign and domestic issues, resolve, empathy, candor, and honesty.
All 3 people who are credible in this race, are intelligent, prudent, knowledgeble and have some sort of experience with their records on domestic and foreign issues. I said none of them are completely honest. Its all about who is more inline with your issues as a voter.
Presidential I would assume has to do more with keeping your composure at all times. It simply means "how a President should carry him/herself". For instance, the Howard Dean fella from 2004. He wasn't Presidential when he went on that tirade around the time of the Iowa Caucus. And it cost him a likely nomination. http://youtube.com/results?search_query=Howard+Dean&search_type=
well, one thing i can say for the American people is that at least Thompson didnt last long. its scary, but i bet harrison ford could give them all a run for the money if speilberg would write him a good script. all things being near equal, i will vote for the shortest, ugliest candidate with the least apple pie-sounding name. i hate that we havent had a short or ugly or ethnic-named president since _______.
