1. I was in Mosul, Iraq. Just coming off guard duty tired as hell, but woke up rather quick when the ball was kicked off. Got to watch the game at 4 am live on the Armed Forces Network. When the game ended at around 8, i went to the chow hall for breakfast then on to my daily mission. A game i will never forget.:usaflagwa :crystal: :geauxtige :thumb:

  2. I know I've posted this story before but it's too good to pass up.

My brother-in-law and I scored tickets on about the 48 at the bottom of the terrace. We watched the whole first half, sort of keeping to ourselves and not really interacting with anybody around us. At halftime, my brother-in-law turned to me and pointed to the ring on the right hand of the guy next to him. It was old and faded but you could still see LSU! across its face.

He asked the gentleman wearing the ring if he had gone to  . The man said yes but said it wasn't a graduation ring. It was one of the rings handed out to the 1958 squad after their :champs: season. Then the man introduced himself and it turned out we were sitting next to Dr. Curtis "Bo" Strange, an offensive tackle on the '58 :champs: team. One of the first people I shook hands with after the clock showed all zeros and the :tigerhead won :crystal: was a man who was in Purple and Gold the last time LSU! won :champs: .

I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

Plaza level: Section 107, Row 19, Seats 12-16

With the exception of my children being born, this was one of the greatest weekends (from Fri.-Mon.) of my life. Can't wait to do it all again in '08.
  4. I was at my then home in Austin, Tx. Watched the game by myself in my living room. Kinda sad, I know. But I got sh*t housed and talked to myself the whole game. Yelled when we won. Screamed and cried drunkenly by myself when Satan held up the trophy.

This will be by far the worst post on this thread....but I can't change the past. I will make up for it this year when I'm at the Dome in my good seats w/ a whiskey in one hand and a honey in the other. Please, LSU....give me a chance to make it up to you. Geaux to the BCSNCG this year so I can undo the past. I promise I won't disappoint you with my celebration AT THE DOME this year! :thumb:
