Re: Bernie Moore in 1940 My freshman year at LSU coincided with Saban's first year and the East Upper Deck opening. I remember that the first couple of games, there were many of empty seats up there.
Charlie Mac. I was very young, but I remember when he retired, and Bo Rein, :bncry:, and the quick hiring of Stovall.
cholly mac in the late 60's . my whole family would gather around the radio on saturday's to listen to the games.First game i attended was 1969 Lsu Auburn when i was seven years old.Tiger Stadium is an awesome sight when you are a seven year old kid...and it aint lost any luster in the last 40 years.
My first game in Tiger Stadium was Arnsparger's last year, 1986. It was the game against Miami-ohio. it poured and LSU lost. (my mom was about 8 months pregnant for me) First time i started following was during Dinardo's tenure in the 90's.
I didn't think we had fans older than SabanFan! It was the Bernie Moore guy's first post although he has been registered for three years. Cholly Mac was the coach in my youth in the 60's and when I started at LSU in the 70's.
Thje first season I really remember was 1987, so I picked Archer. I remember watching games on back to Stoval, but don't really remember outcomes or opponents. I have very vivid memories of my dad's "U-Haul Stoval Bring Back Mac" T shirt.
