If you consider a bunch of 50 yd fgs with a poor kicker instead of pinning LSU deep
"opportunities" then Saban is the superior coach. CLM was lucky, his game plan was smart and it provided his team with a win.

No, Miles played smart and played to our strengths in this game (Special teams and Defense).

Saban GAVE his team more scoring opportunities???!!! How do you figure?

Did u watch the game? They would have scored 15 points if he would have made a few easy FG's that our kicker would have nailed. To say CLM gameplan was much better is a joke. We had better players that's why we won.

If you call 45-50 yd field goals easy, then you obviously don't understand the kicking game. Nothing over 40 yds is a gimmie.

Miles played for field position and that is a very big part of what led to the win. May not have been in the gameplan, but when faced with game time decisions he chose field position............and it was the right call.

They missed field goals of 52, 50, 48 and 44 yards in a very close high pressure game. Anyone that thinks those are easy or high percentage probably shouldn't be posting on a football board.

So miles is lacking the killer instinct to try and put points on the board?

Bingo! you hit the nail on the head. and it was our superiour special teams and defense that won the battle of field position and put Bama out of range.

WRONG! Miles understands the importance of field position in a defensive struggle, like this game was.
