I thought it was done properly. One chance with Ware, maybe they are tired and he breaks it in, one run to line up a kick, and the win. We were just so nervous because we are awesome fans. The rest of the US knew LSU had it won. And to me it is clear that Miles outcoached him for the second year in a row.
The Maze wildcat play? That would probably be the one, but if he hits on that, it's genius. Game of not inches, but an inch.
I can vouch for this. At my house, I had in attendance alums from Texas, Texas A & M, Arkansas, Purdue, Ohio State, and Texas Tech. The only two people nervous during our OT possession were me and my daughter. Everyone else knew it was in the bag.
I think Saban focused really hard on 2 things for the past 2 weeks....take Lee out of his game so he only has to worry about 1 qb and getting ready for any & all of Les Miles trickery....but, I didn't see any of that....wonder if that's why Les had that little grin on his face when we kicked the first field goal. Saban really seemed dazed & confused on the sidelines or is it just me? Don't forget to vote for CLM for Coach of the Year!
Sorry, just noticed this response. If Saban made some bonehead decisions and Miles didn't, then Miles outcoached him. What's the difference?
Plus not even chip shot field goals are guaranteed. Just about every team botches at least one extra point try a season. Miles did it exactly right, run it one time and see if you bust a run, put it in the middle of the field on 2nd and kick it on 3rd.
