Our conference road games--even on paper--are brutal! --3 road games against top 10 teams (isn't UT back in the top 10???) ....and to be able to go 1-2 in those contests is respectible.
Sounds good to me. Or maybe Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, or Nebraska. You know, the games you only get in NCAA Football 2007...
All these games would require a home & home deal. LSU will not give up a home game. I did read something the other day about ND not being a game we could get at least not in the near futher. Can't remember where I saw that.
We expanded to 12 regular season games this year. Skip has always said we need 7 home games to make money. This opens the door to have one quality home and home series every year. There was some talk a couple of years ago about OU, but haven't heard anything since then. There is no reason why we can't have one great OOC game each year against a top program. It should be done. I've grown tired of the excuses from the LSU Athletic Department, namely the excuse how nobody wants to play in Tiger Stadium. That's crap. USC, ND, Texas, OSU, etc., all scheduled home and home series against big name teams in recent years. I doubt they are scared to play in Tiger Stadium. I'm starting to think it's not the other schools who are scared...
ND has said that they wont schedule LSU until after 2028. I am guessing the year but I have posted in a earlier thread an article that said this. I cant find it but havent looked too hard.
