I always pull for the SEC against out of conference opponents. My second favorite team was UF but not so much anymore. I dont really have a clear number two at the moment.
Really don't have a "second favorite team", but sure do like rooting for any team that will help LSU by beating a team ranked ahead of us. Although, if we include the pros, then the Saints are definitely number two for me. I was in the stands for the first Saints game and have learned through the hard years that hope springs eternal.
When I was a kid, hadn't been to many LSU games yet, watching FSU in the early Bowden years was cool. The fans got into it, the games were fun. I really feel, for me, that is what got me into college football.w
I definitely don't have a 2nd favorite team, as in pulling for them to win. But there are certain teams I like to watch play. Oregon would be one. Texas Tech back when they were really good. Baylor ever since RG3 got there and they continue to have video game type outputs.
I like watching Baylor. Art Briles' offenses are innovative and fun to watch, but my 2nd favorite team is, as embarrassed as I am to admit this, the USM Golden Eagles. For a small school, they have had a ton of success over the years and just missed going to a BCS bowl a couple of years ago when they beat the undefeated Houston Cougars; coached by no others than Kevin Sumlin. But after Larry Fedora left, the program has sunk directly to the bottom. They went 0-12 last year, lost to some team called Texas State the first game of this year, got smoked by Nebraska, and have Ark. and Boise St in the next 2. Hello 0-16.
I like Baylor also, Phil Bennett is the DC there. He was at LSU for a time. Great guy. I have friends that coached at S. Miss last year and one is still there. I have a bunch of friends that coached there over the years. Some coached Brett Favre during his years there.
I wouldn't say my second favorite, but I don't mind UGA, Clemson, and USCe. Nice areas of the country, folks seem nice for the most part, and no annoying chanting w/tomahawk chops or gator chomps by the fans. Clemson is kind of LSUs little sister in the east (Tigers, Death Valley, passionate fan base), so I kind of like that.
