1. He had a turn around at Ok State.

Whats wrong with going to a smaller building up your resume then getting one of the top 5 coaching job in America.

  2. So you are willing to take a chance on CEO from an 8 game sample. Their is way more to being a HC than taking over a mid season. I want to see if he can do that first. I do not want to risk the next 5 to 7 years for LSU.

    I hope I am wrong.
  3. Some of you are missing the the obvious. It has nothing to do with beating the gumps, that's a tall order for any team not to mention one with depth problems at the most important positions.

I care far less about a close game that we lose and a lot more about how we lose it. In the past it seems LSU found themselves ahead late and I swear it was like "oh shit what do we do now"

Let's get real, it not only seemed that way, it WAS that way. The inability to get the 1st downs needed to run out the clock (Les' favorite thing) cost us at least 2 or 3 vs those bastards. If we are aggressive then I will be satisfied.

  4. He never even won a Conference Championship with them. Highest was 3rd in division; his last year, 5th. His record there was 28-21. Conference record was 16-16. Had 4 conference losses his last season there, (same number here in 2014 and almost the same in 2015 and may have topped that number this year) and a loss in the big Alamo Bowl.

I'll argue it's much harder to take over during the season when a coach gets fired. That's an emotional time for fans, players, etc. He's done very well, once and doing well so far, on a second.
  5. I am not sure I want him as our coach, depends on our options. I was just saying I'm not nearly ruling him out; and I don't feel he's unqualified.

  6. I don't make rash quickie decisions.

Not enough "Preponderance of Evidence" so far. Let the season play out.

Much improved so far, but let's see what happens against the remaining "Adult" SEC football teams.

Beat Bama, Florida, Arkansas and A&M.

Then we'll talk about O as permanent HC..................

Great for a younger man. Not so much for 55 year old Oeaux. Oeaux's resume is what it is. He has learned under some of the best; Pete Carroll, Jimmy Johnson. Win out and he has earned the job. Not such an easy thing to do. Anybody who can make LSU football fun to watch again from the 1st game on deserves serious consideration.
  8. Well hell I could have done that
