Love the Saints.....altho it's been a long rough ride.....been following them since about 78 when they had their first good season under Nolan.
My roomate had an Oiler jersey and hat on. Needless to say, they were both in the bottom of his closet by game's end. That game was a classic, though.
After last week and them beating a very good Carolina team, I now have respect for the Saints. I had pretty much turned on them, but I think they're ready to play some football now.
My Dad was a fan (I think he was there for a game during their first season), so I grew up a fan, too. Still am. Every year my Dad says he's given up on them -- and each year he watches every single game. :hihi:
You will find that the truth is often unpopular and the contest between agreeable fancy and disagreeable fact is unequal. For, in the vernacular, we Americans are suckers for good news. - Adlai Stevenson
Saints fan. I went to a Monday night game against the Steelers in Tulane Stadium. Bradshaw QB'ed for Pittsburg. He was sure fast on the bootleg, made like 3 runs of 10 to 20 yards. Steelers got us. As a Saints fan, I always started out the year pulling for NO, then had a backup team to pull for after they proved nothing had changed. Since Bradshaw was from La., Pittsburg was my second team. Terry's first 4 years were "trying", then being a Steelers fan got to be pretty fun. I would no longer be a Saints fan if they left NO. In fact, I'd hate them, like the Titans for leaving Houston (although we always wondered in Houston how to get rid of the owner, now we know).
I get my love from my grandpa and dad. They were both in Tulane stadium and saw Dempsey kick the field goal.
