Respone made the runoff and has a chance. The white voter turnout needs to be high though cause Edwards will get al of the black vote and a good bit of the whites.

It's always annoyed the shit out of me. Louisiana people live and act like conservatives and vote like liberals. My dad was a prime example

My grandmother refused to put money in a bank and would never vote for a Republican because "they were gonna take my social security check", until the day she died.

I think it has to do with how the state restricted the primaries way back when. I remember my grandparents wouldn't change their affiliation from Democrat even tho they were Republicans because of it. My whole family freaked out when I registered as a Republican in 1984. My response was that they always vote Republican.

I initially registered as a Dem then changed later. Back then the Democratic party was more middle to middle upper class.

Until the late 70’s there was no Republican Party in Louisiana. If you wanted a voice in local government you had to register as a democrat.

Not Dumb Bel Edwards. He's against the oil companies who bring jobs to Louisiana. That's enough to kick him to the curb for me.

Rispone made a chicken shit comment about Edwards time at West Point:
When asked about his military service, Rispone said, "Yeah you know I’m disappointed in that, if I have to be candid. I think he’s hurt the reputation of West Point, I don’t think West Point wants to turn out a bunch of trial lawyers that will say or do anything to stay in power.”

I’m Republican and I’ll be voting Edwards again. He’s too liberal but at least he has a spine and is pretty sincere. He voted anti-abortion into law and will cross party lines.
