Did it occur to you that the players tanked that day? They were crap. John Wooden would have lost that day. Besides...you've got to get over that loss. It was a different team in a different year. I'm surprised you didn't throw in the 2nd half against Tennessee in football last year. Move on!
If your players are tanking in the NCAA tournament I think that would be a reflection on the coach. It was Brady if anybody who looked passive that game. It's not that one game in which I judge Brady its been the last 8 or so years of barely making the tournament if at all. My point is I believe LSU can get a better coach for the program and have setteled for mediocrity.
lute olsen's players have tanked in the tourney several times, but he has also won a NC. did he just luck out? or did the team just tank that day?
Luck will always play a part of winning an NC, in any sport. The more times you get in the tourney, the more you increase your odds of getting a good draw and making a nice run. Some years you lose early, some years you make a nice run. I'd take that here at LSU anyday. The key is making the NCAA tourney more times than not.
