Apparently, there was a video conference call between the WH and the Taiwanese minister, but the WH cut the feed when a map was shown depicting China and Taiwan in different colors; meaning separate countries. After the feed, a disclaimer was displayed saying "Any opinions expressed by individuals on this panel are those of the individual, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States government." Once again, the Biden administration shows weakness and bows to their Chinese overlords. Absolutely atrocious. Bunch of pussies scared to stand with our allies. https://www.newsweek.com/white-hous...ang-taiwan-map-china-democracy-summit-1658684
Why, look. A trumpian disturbed about an inconsequential map graphic but perfectly OK with trump kissing Putin's ass in front of the entire world at a Helsinki press conference.
I doubt that that's true, but even if it was, would they go so far as to cut the video feed from an ally so they wouldn't offend China? They didn't even try to lie about it and say 'technicial difficulties. They actually put up a disclaimer distancing themselves from it. It reeks of giving aid or comfort to an enemy, which could be construed as treason by the strictest interpretation of that law. Just another example of the Biden administration diminishing our influence and projecting weakness to the world.
You are correct sir! Actually Taiwan and Red China both claim that the country is unified. The Taiwanese consider it the rightful ruler of all China too. Until Carter (I think) recognized Beijing, Taiwan held the China seat in the UN. Until recently Taiwan wouldn’t consider independence any more than Beijing.
