I thought it looked more like Notre Dame was playing Tennessee rather than LSU in the Indy Bowl. As a matter of fact, I thought I saw an early 70's Sugar Bowl photo once where Tennessee beat Air Force and both teams wore their home (dark) jerseys. I say stick with tradition, gold helmets and white jerseys....always.
in my opinion, the best way for LSU to intimidate a team as equally intimidating as Georgia would be to have a "gold out" game......i know everyone says white out games, but cmon, white aint our colors, plus anybody can sport a white shirt......and what better than a sea of gold surrounding you, and the tigers down on the field sporting gold jerseys as well......and the white helmets rock the house GEAUX TIGERS!
Since many fans tend to wear camouflage to LSU games, why not sport a camo jersey? Or since the baseball team has worn black in the past, how about that? Can we add teal to our color scheme a la many professional teams? Our uniform consists of gold pants, gold helmets and either white or, occasionally, purple jerseys. We're not Oregon or BYU or even Florida. Leave the damn uniforms alone!
I think your idea sucks. Go down the road and watch tulane in white helmets in green jerseys. Our uniforms are classy as they are. Gold helmets and white jerseys!!!!
