because its a private conversation, and not subject to any oversight. when my friends talk to me, they often say things like "my wife is a cunt sometimes". its an off the record chat. i dont go writing it down and publishing it. that would fuck up the trust between me and my friend. thats why off the record talks exist.
also, when you whine about the conversation being placed in some vault or whatever, and implying it was hiding something, you could note that the conversation was published, so you cant keep claiming its some secret hidden something.
Es .... ummmmmm .... if Shit for brains was aware and consulted before the complaint was filed, it’s safe to say it is a tainted report. Shit for brains had an opportunity, along with lawyers and others to craft the complaint as they wanted. (Just as Levin said) It also allowed the supporting media to craft their spin message to make a conversation about cutting events into a campaign issue. Trump just needs to hold a press conference, hold up the numerous news articles of the time referencing the Mueller Report and Hunter Bidens problems ...... and simply state, I have a right to discuss these current matters with the foreign leader of the country involved. So y’all just go screw yourselves.
No, confidential, as it pertains to classified information, means that they are available to anyone within government with the appropriate security clearance and a "need to know," no different than any other classified material. When Trump is talking on a recorded land line in the WH he has to assume that he is speaking in his official capacity and not off the record. If he wants to speak to someone "off the record," I would advise him to do so where there is no record. If he is smart enough to know when he is on the record and when he is not, he is free to do as he pleases. When he is on a recorded line in the WH, speaking in his official capacity of President, representing all Americans, he is on the record He placed the call from the Oval Office on a line that he knew was recorded and in his official capacity as President. That is not a private conversation. Should the texts between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok been private? Anecdotal and hardly the same thing. If Trump wants to be off the record he should take measures to do so. When your friend talks to you about his wife, does he call you on a recorded line that could potentially be subject to his wife's review? Of course not. Speaking on or off the record is a matter of preference and anyone with common sense knows when they are speaking on or off the record. You're being facetious. The transcript was only released after they were called on to do so by Congress and Senate Republicans so let's not pretend like this was an exercise in transparency by the WH. Further, my point was that WH lawyers took extraordinary measures to "lock down" the transcripts....and on a private server, no less. Why? If the conversation was "perfect" as Trump claims and there was no reason to worry about it, why take extra steps to ensure it is hidden?
Boy are you confused on how classified information works. Further, I would point out, other presidents have used the same measures to protect transcripts. Even Obama did such. How can you disagree when trump has already had leaks of calls back in 2017.
Looks pretty dang transparent to me ..... and .... that lock down must be pretty shitty, given that within a DAY of the story breaking, Trump released it. Your point again??
Americans should all agree that anytime the president speaks to a foreign leader, oversight is a good thing. Too bad the loony birds on the left only want to use this oversight to find something to hang on trump. Again had the Democrats not used the last 3 years to perform a witch hunt maybe we would pay attention to them now.
