Very true, @kcal, and in this case it is one of the things that my far right friends on the board here are missing: the conservative media have been the instigators of this story. The Wall Street Journal broke the story of the Whistleblower Complaint. If you look at FOX's web site it has virtually the same stories being published as their more liberal counter parts. Chris Wallace was as hard on Stephen Miller on Sunday morning as anyone at CNN would have been. The only "media" who are still publishing some of the outlandish conspiracy theories that Trump keeps throwing against the wall are the far right/alt-right media that are made up of nothing but speculation and inuendo. Also, keep an eye on what Trump says because he game plan during times like these is to throw out as many accusations and outrageous conspiracy theories in an effort to muddy the waters of the news that is derogatory about him. Yesterday was classic Trump: made up a story that the whistleblower laws were changed the week before the report was filed which was almost immediately debunked by the Inspector General.

The call was subject to oversight by the "appropriate governing bodies" .... the issue, is the Democrats in Congress disagree on just WHO that governing body should be. They think it should be themselves, so they can once again go on a goose chase to try and achieve what they've been trying to achieve for 3 years .... impeach trump .... cause Hillary was supposed to win that race.

No, not really. The law is very clear on this one. Once a whistleblower report has been filed, the Inspector General has X amount of time to investigate the validity of the claims and if they are found to be credible the IG has a week to turn them over to congress. I am obviously not speaking verbatim but this one is straight forward. So, congress really has no say so in it....the law dictates this process and congress has been given final oversight. This is no goose chase. The IC IG called the whistleblower complaint credible and of urgent concern. You pretend that he Democrats in congress started all of this. They did not. I suppose you, like @LSUpride123, are under the mistaken belief that other people are to blame for Trump's actions. She didn't win the race. She lost and the Electoral College certified Trump's victory on election night. All of that also has nothing to do with Trump's behavior and actions. Hillary didn't call and ask for assistance from a foreign leader. Trump did that.
