Do they really 'insist'? (i don't subscribe, couldn't read the story). That seems an odd choice of words for WSJ and FOX. I can see Biden 'insisting' on his innocence. Didn't Biden get some Ukrainian government official fired for not paying ball with his son? I just read this on Newsday: Ukrainian president should look into the firing of a national prosecutor who had probed a natural gas company that had the son, Hunter Biden, on its board. This big, wealthy, powerful company had long been seen as the doer of dirty deeds and its criminally suspect owner had had ties with a Russia-supporting Ukrainian president ousted by means of revolution. Vice President Biden was the Obama’s administration’s point man in the Ukraine and told the government that the prosecutor was corrupt and that he must be fired or it would lose a billion-dollar loan promised by the United States. Ukraine is poor and has been fighting Russian separatists and the man was fired. hmmm, i don't 'insist' Biden is guilty or a dirty dealing weasel...but i suspect that he is.
Of course, just like they won't mention Durbin and two others sending a letter to the Ukraine straight up telling them if they don't play ball we leave them high and dry. The hypocrisy is unfathomable
I suggest using Google and find both the letter itself as well as the statement issued yesterday by the three senators, read them, and then make your own decision about the President’s claim. I would have done this for all, but I expect my quotes would have been challenged.
Whatever any democrat says I don't believe they have more than earned my total distrust. No telling just how prosperous this country and everyone in it could be if democrats and even some so called republicans actually just liked this country and capitalism much less love it. They dislike both screw them all they are a disgrace to the values of America.
some backstory may be helpful. While not directly tied to the menendez encounter, this politico article from Jan 2017 indicates there's a robust history of ukraine/US political involvement: Ukrainian efforts to sabotage Trump backfire Kiev officials are scrambling to make amends with the president-elect after quietly working to boost Clinton.
