Wow TNC .... I don’t know how you read the transcript and come away with your position. Trump is asking a favor regarding the Russia/Ukraine gig, and the hacking of the DNC computer to help out with any info they may have to help inform about the issue., and that Trump was afraid Zelensky was surrounding himself with some of the same players thought to be responsible. It was/is an ongoing concerns. He also ... responding to media stories as I posted above, wanted to know what is up with all this talk about Biden. He never asked them to investigate Biden and give him dirt .... he noted a lot of people want to know the real story behind Biden allegedly shutting down a prosecution of a company in the Ukraine ..... Like I said, I don’t know how you come away with your perspective ..... other than you just hate trump and thus your reading comprehension skills have all but vacated. .... you are having to read an awful lot into the story (that’s not there) to end up where your at.
This crap is like watching rocks erode. This whole case comes down to subjective interpretation ... nothing more, nothing less. The FACT: .... none of which are illegal - President discussed the DNC hack, Crowdstrike, mentions the "wealthy person", and the Muller Report, and how it was noted that it all started in Ukraine. The Favor Trump asked was if they had information that would help "get to the bottom of it", please hand it over "if possible". - President mentioned the scandal at the time of Biden and Biden's son, and how Biden is running around saying he shut down the prosecution - NO quid pro quo was mentioned. In the context of it all, it is obvious from the language that the context of what Trump said about Biden was the claim that he allegedly shut down an investigation and got the guy fired. ..... HOWEVER ... here's the subjectivity. - From my subjective perspective, the "it sounds horrible" refers to "if that is true". The allegation that Biden shut down an investigation and got the prosecutor fired is OLD NEWS, outlined in numerous media reports of that time, so there really is no "dirt" to dig up on Biden, but rather, a request of "clarity" on this issue. "A lot of people want to know", includes everyone, and Biden himself and the Democrats stand as much chance to benefit as Trump and the GOP depending on the clarity of the issue. For all we know, the prosecution was halted for reasons completely unrelated to Biden. For me, asking for the truth, clarity on the issue, with no strings attached, ... as was done .... is a reasonable requests. In TigaNC's defense, I can see where it could appear that Trump is asking a government to investigate or continue an investigation (as the MSM put it) on Trumps behalf, but one has to ask, ... what NEW revelation can be had? The allegation is already standing, thus it is NOT A NEW ISSUE ... and the only requests is clarification from the Ukraine point of view and not specifically of Biden, but of the ending the prosecution and firing the prosecutor. As such, it's hard to make the case that the request was to "dig up dirt on Biden". The proof of such could only be had at the end of an investigation of the existing issue that in the process comes up with new information, for which Trump did not request.
