You amaze me !!!!!! ramah you seem to think that OLE MISS has a bad team. OLE MISS has had a year that they were not supposed to have had they played good ball all year . They played LSU a hard game both teams were up for the game how old are you ??? That was a good game you seem to think that the only good game is a blowout . Now THE TIGERS NEED to get ready for GEORGIA. GEORGIA has a good defense we know that ! We know what they can do and Georgia knows what LSU can do I hope we beat Georgia but I am worried about this game !!! The Sugar Bowl I am not even thinking about it right now I want LSU to beat Georgia! GEAUX TIGERS !!!!!
If an 8 team or 16 team playoff ended up with Michigan/Florida State game for th NC I can accept it because the system would have fairly given the teams that deserve to be in a playoff the chance to do it on the field. Of course I would be disapointed that LSU had lost but nobody could say that the Michigan/Florida State winner didn't deserve to be National Champs because the winner would have beaten some very good teams and proved themselves worthy of being the champ. IF K State beat OU in the Big 12 CG both teams would be in the playoffs: K State as the Big 12 winner and OU as highly ranked at large team, just like LSU would be even if they lost the SECCG to Georgia.
We've got some serious frontrunners posting on this thread. You guys need to read SEN's post about how great this year has been. If we miss out on the NC , I'll get excited about playing anyone, anywhere. It's another chance to watch the Tigers in action. A lot of you guy's sound like the last little piggie.
Re: Well i din not get the answer If we beat Georgia, the Fiesta has the #1 choice and they would be hard pressed not to pick the Tigers.
If we go to the NutraSweet Bowl, i.e., the NOT Sugar Bowl, I think I'd like to see Texas on the other sideline. Bunch of UT clowns in this area talking smack about how'd they "kick our asses like they did last year". I guess they forget that after losing to Arky and getting pasted by OU that they are fortunate to be ranked as highly in the polls and BCS as they are.
I do not think anyone has said this year would not be considered a success or that anyone is not going to support LSU. It did tail off into a discussion about the shortcomings of the BCS system. These shortcomings have hit closer to home this year probably forcing a lot of LSU fans to take a good hard look at it for the first time. I read SEN's post and he is right, but even he is still posting every AP voter's email he can find to get people to send them a note with an argument for LSU being number 2 in the AP poll.
We demolished Arkansas while USC was idle and we pick up 5 votes. I think that pretty much throws water all over your theory. One I'm mighty tired of hearing about by the way.
