I say that if we replay that Auburn game 5 times, LSU takes it 3 of the 5. We just happened to lose the one that we played. I don't think they were that much better than us. You still gotta rank us below Georgia and Auburn though, because they both beat us and are great teams. We've played inconsistently and haven't proven much. I still think we could take Tennessee, and definantly now that they are down to their 3rd string QB.

Well, this is just opinion. And, mine is that all three are about the same. We lost to AU on the road, late, by the margin of a missed extra point! Factor in home field advantage, and that would indicate that LSU is, actually, slightly better than AU, based strictly on the head-to-head. We also lost to UGA at their place - and, though it was lopsided, it was a game in which D. Greene and his fellow Dawgs had revenge on their minds and had a career day. Toss in what I felt was a mismanagement of the LSU QB situation (a subject for another thread!), and I stand by my decision to put all three at the top together! I believe that, if LSU played AU ten times (five at their place, five in Death Valley), each team would win five. I also believe that, if LSU played UGA ten times (five at their place, five in Death Valley), each team would win five. JMO...

A fair analysis I'd say. But...do you think Greene could play well enough to beat us 5 times ? Certainly, he could not/will not ever play a better game than he played against the Tigers in October. Then again, I forget about that dude who's motor's always running and....hell, you may be right.

    Oh yeah. Good point. Dude's motor never stops, so, perhaps LSU would never be able to score enough to win! Wait, they did twice last year with dude's motor running, didn't they?!!!

Tennessee only beat Georgia because of help from the officials.
Tennessee only beat Florida because of help from the officials.
Tennessee got a lot of help from the officials in the 4th quarter against Ole Miss.
Tennessee got some help early from the officials at South Carolina. A South Carolina TD was not counted.

In a fairly officiated game, LSU would destroy Tennessee, even if their QB's were still healthy.

I have a feeling that the UGA-Auburn game will be very close because Auburn may try real hard to not lose the game. Georgia may be more relaxed and bring a, "much less to lose," attitude.

I hafta agree and wouldn't be at all surprised if UGA punks 'em. Dude's motor will be running incessantly, and Greene could have an "on" game...

If we would play Auburn again, I say we'd give them a run for their money.....again. Remember Auburn, if you get to the National Championship, remember that 1 point back in September. 1 penalty in that game just may be the difference of why you're fighting for a N.C.

I don't think you can say we are just as good as Auburn because we almost beat them, you have to look at the enitre season to date and we have not come close to being as good as Auburn has this year. The facts are what they are and Auburn is clearly the best team in the SEC so far.

Chip I really don't think I would predict that LSU would destroy anybody other than an Arkansas St right now. Beat UT, yes, destroy, no.
