At a friend of my brother's. My brother, myself, his friend, and some other guy I had just met that day jumping around like a bunch of children. It was so awesome. The one dude who I didn't know broke his watch in the mass hysteria. I don't think he cared all that much. I remember I had just gotten back from a cruise that morning. Or was it the day before. Hell, I don't remember. Anyway, I was going nuts being out in the Caribbean and not knowing what was going on. I called my dad at every port of call to get the scores I remember. Nowadays, you can easily find out what's going on in the states when on a cruise.
Putting together book cases in my living room. Boring, I know. But in 2000 I had to pick my brother in law up at the airport. The game was in the bottom of the 9th, and I was supposed to go into the airport and get him. Well, I kept circling in the car, waiting for the game to end. About 30 minutes later we finally win, and I am pumping my fist and yelling and I look around and another guy is circling and doing the same thing. We just crack up at each other. I get there, and my brother in law was just about to get up and take a cab. I never did fess up why I was late! Never will!
Me, my dad, and my sister watched it in the living room. my sister was reading on the couch, dad was just getting up from his half doze thanks to his lay-z-boy. I was sitting on the floor. mom had just gone to the grocery store when we fell behind. i remember the look on the miami 2nd basemen. he held up his two fingers for the 2 outs and had the most overjoyed face. then morris hit the shot heard 'round the bayou and they showed the 2nd basemen. this time around he was on his stomach crying. i remember my dad jumping up and down. i was running around the house like my ass was on fire. my sister was speechless. my mom got home and nearly shed a tear because she misses it. little did she know from that day on, she wasn't allowed to watch LSU games in the living room anymore because when's she away, we win
it was the day my older sister got married. my dad wasnt happy about the schedule conflict, but didnt say anything. we were just getting home from the reception and had settled in front of the tv when he hit it. it was amazing.
I was at one of my friend's apartments (on Nicholson, behind the Pizza Hut.) Morris hit that homer and every single person jumped like Michael Jordan, and landed on each other -- and his coffee table. Unfortunately for him, his table ended up in splinters. :hihi: As I recall, nobody cared one bit. What a great college memory.
At my dad's house. Me and some guys I play softball with were between games for a tournament that weekend. I thought my mom was gonna have a coroanry when she walking in and saw us all jumping around like ours heads were on fire and asses was cathin'
Had my folks visiting for the weekend and a few neighbors hanging around watching. It seemed for a split second that we were all just stunned. Then, all hell broke loose. BTW, Morris was through here in 2005 (I think) playing AAA for Nashville or Memphis, can't remember. Anyway, he autographed my LSU cap. Nice guy.
