I went to Dodie's last night... and they were boiling crawfish. I was more in the mood for shrimp and oysters, but the aroma from the kitchen made me curious about what I was missing.
Just found this site... I can't take the big crowds at Ben's, so my friends and I usually buy the game. Dodie's on Josey and George Bush Turnpike has very good shrimp bisque, but the etouffe and jambalya are very tomatoey- more creole than cajun. Nate's is still my favorite...I didn't know it, but years ago Nate lived five houses down from me in Lake Charles. Nice site, moderators.
