I will be moving/taking a job in DFW within a year and wanted to start looking at good area's.

The wife and kids live in Plano, but I don't like Plano. MY actual work office will be either in Lewisville or Grapevine ( I do not have to commute daily).

Any tips for people looking to move to the Area?

A lot of people rave about Coppell. I live in Plano and really like it. The main thing is to avoid a commute... the traffic can be a beat down.

I heard it through the grapevine that the cops in Lewisville are assholes. At least the one who gave me a ticket for throwing a cigarette but out the window and the fine was almost $300.

She says Plano is full of mooslems. I think she lives near a mosque

I already drive 55K plus miles a year. Id rather a nice place to live than worry about extra driving considering I already drive so much.

Though, moving to the DFW area will cut my "drive" time in half at the least but I will have more flights.

Not sure about the FW part but traffic in the D part is terrible regardless of what time you are on the road.

I noticed. Took my kids to the Dallas Zoo on a Sunday and the amount of traffic was nuts.
