Maybe it is just me but I think Broussard would have been just as effective as Vincent was or quite possibly worse. It sounds great in theory to say you just push them back because they are weaker but IMO that didn't happen in the game and we probably would have done worse with Broussard in.
With an inconsistent offensive line, and a slanting defense, the premium becomes a back who can turn nothing into something... We had an inconsistent push tonight, and OM was slanting...so we had to put the against the grain runners in...I think they did well....
i think everyone needs to get over alley broussard he is not that good he is a power runner and thats it justin vincent is clearly the best back that lsu has he has all the tools the coaches should leave him in and give him more carries imagine how many yards he would have
JA did a pretty good job running the ball. I also thought JA ran with power too. I believe SC was still cautious in his runs.
I think alley broussard is better than Addai. He has good lean inside and give him to the weight room in the offseason and he is going to be an animal next season. He is damn good dont ever doubt that. Geaux Tigers
I think Justin Vincent is the best back. He shows it week in & week out. I believe we are arguing #2. Although I agree with Tiger Educated's philosophy, there are a couple of other issues as well. Addai is a damn good receiver, which gets him in from time to time. The problem I have is that I believe that Carey is not 100%. Either physical, mental or ability wise. JMO. I personally hope we see Broussard a little more in the Arkansas game. Actually, I'd like to see B. Edwards, which would mean we were so far ahead that everyone is getting in.
No way Broussard's going in late in that game. He had his share of fumbling problems early on in the year, and Vincent was the one in the game who was in rhythm. Putting in a cold RB late in a crucial game is asking for it, especially when he's had a case of fumbleitis in the past. Add to that, he's a freshman and Vincent is the obvious choice.
